I have been using AUUG with Animoog.
When I set the MIDI CC for the X/Y pad it appears to accept the new CC number.
I do not hear the X/Y pad changing?
SPECIALIZED is ON
-Animoog example
Send Cont. Controller CC MIDI mess. is ON
- INPUT Up-Down or Left-Right motion
something I am missing?

Re: MIDI CC with Animoog
If you are running Animoog for iPhone in the background on the same device (rather than sending MIDI to Animoog operating in the foreground on a separate device), you may be having this issue:
http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14287
As you can see in the forum they said they were going to fix the issue back in 2012. We have tested their latest version but the issue seems to persist.
However, until they fix the issue above there is still a lot of useful sound control that can be done while Animoog for iPhone is running in the background. These types of control include all the MIDI inputs in the ENV/MOD page (see top left within the Animoog interface). We have added new info on the wiki to help you with this:
http://auug.info/wiki/doku.php/public/a ... in_animoog
We have also updated this wiki entry with an included preset to be imported into animoog, which will allow you to test sound control via the ENV/MOD page:
http://auug.info/wiki/doku.php/public/animoog
Please let us know if that helps!
PS: It is probably worthwhile reminding Animoog that their MIDI mapping still breaks if Animoog for iPhone is in the background. Kind of defeats the purpose of 'background audio' functionality

Re: MIDI CC with Animoog
wow!!!!
OK.
How do I assign the MIDI channel for ENV/MOD section in Animoog?
Please recommend some other Synth Apps that sound Great & accept MIDI CC while running in the background.
All of the synth apps I own appear to be iPad only.
Not a fan of the Garageband instruments

Unfortunately it appears that Animoog does not allow inputs to the ENV/MOD page to be differentiated by MIDI channel.
I've added a new section on the wiki for you on creating your own motion control setups for Animoog:

Please let us know if that helps.

Have a look at this list and note the apps marked with asterisks (decent midi implementation):

Not knowing what sound you are after, Magellen Jnr is an example of a powerful but demanding synth (very good midi control), and it also featured in the kickstarter video:
http://www.auug.com/kickstarter-video-m ... s-content/
http://www.auug.com/portfolio/kickstarter-video/
These are also good:
Cassini Synth for iphone*
Arctic Pro Synth
Nlog MIDI synth*
Samplewiz*
Might be worth posting in the general forum asking other users their opinion on this.
If you create any setups you like please share some video/audio, we would love to see it!

Very very cool Ritchiedrums, thanks so much for posting!
Both the Tempest and Cassini setups are very interesting and original examples of use we have never seen before, and you have got an amazing collection of hardware!
One thing we noticed was that you have your iPhone rotated 180 degrees within the grip (relative to the recommended orientation). Was this to achieve a more convenient audio connector position or on screen button location?
We have updated the relevant setup info on the wiki to try and make the Motion Synth Grip setup, and recommended idevice orientation, clearer:

The advantage of using the recommended orientation is that it:

http://auug.info/wiki/doku.php/public/i ... _into_grip
The advantage of using the recommended orientation is that it:
- - Matches the shape of the tactile overlay to the dimensions of the keys on the Key Screen
- Makes optimum use of specific types of orientation control. In particular, Forearm Rotation and Up-Down Orientation Change:
http://auug.info/wiki/doku.php/public/o ... m_rotation
http://auug.info/wiki/doku.php/public/o ... ion_change
- Keeps the volume and mute buttons accessible
- Positions the audio connector at a corner free of a corner protector (keeping the path clear for chunky connectors)
Thanks again for sharing and please let us know if you have any questions regarding the above!
